This Week: Feb. 24-Mar. 1

I’m shocked it’s almost March already.

Last week was a small exception to my lack of productivity. I was very busy, with the CLT on Thursday, work, school, and an all-day occupation on Sunday. I had very few opportunities to edit.

However, I edited a few chapters and did some plotting. My book is looking a little cleaner regarding the plot, but it’s tiresome changing everything to keep the continuity. I’m working on propping up that middle with extra conflict and events. It’s difficult writing contemporary fiction because—how do you make everyday life so interesting? How do you add conflict to such a regular life? Ugh. I just want to write a good story.

So I did some things. Last week wasn’t a total loss.

I’ll be busy this week, but I have some activities free and will have a little extra time to edit. It all comes down to prioritization and focus.

My plan is to edit 2-3 chapters a day. This has been my daily editing goal—I’ve just struggled to reach it due to life things. I want to devote the extra time I have this week to editing my book.

I will also send out my March newsletter this week. Subscribe to my newsletter to read it when it comes out!

Thanks for reading; catch you later.
