This Week: Jan 20-25

Okay, so I’ve basically made the same blog post every week for months now. I honestly wish I had more to share other than, “I’m gonna write every day this week.”

But I truly have nothing else to share.

Let’s start with last week.

Last week, I wrote several thousand words and could actually sit down and write over a thousand words at once. I haven’t had much inspiration recently and struggled to just sit down and write, but this week was a breath of fresh air. I’m trying out a strategy I heard works well: write in a funny font in different colors. I’ve been typing in Comic Sans with a different color each session. It helps me keep track of where I left off and it feels less stiff and serious, even though it’s a sad story. It’s a bit embarrassing when someone walks past me and sees me writing in purple Comic Sans, but haters gonna hate.

I’m running the very last stretch and have a handful of chapters left to write. Guys, I’m so close to writing the first draft of my first book!

I also posted a reel on Instagram and got a good amount of views and a couple more followers. The couple notes I posted on Substack have done fairly well, so you could say I’m trending like that.

This week should be pretty productive, too.

I guess I’ll repeat the same thing: write. I’m also continuing to recruit for my street team and will give more information on that once I’ve completed my first draft. Aside from that, I want to make more content on my Instagram and Substack. I’ve been brainstorming reel ideas for Instagram to generate more interactions, and, although I’m struggling (I hate making videos), I’m still getting traffic. My Substack notes have been doing very well, too, and I’m gaining confidence in posting more.

God really has been blessing me recently, both in little successes and provision. I’m so excited about continuing this journey!

Okay bye or something.
